Events at Pasture House

Thinking of hosting an event? We may be able to help!
Back in March 2019 we hosted our first large event, with over 100 people in attendance. We attached a marquee to the patio doors of Pasture House and it covered the patio to the rear of the property, making a temporary extension onto the house where the food and drink was served and where we had the tables and chairs.
Wedding Receptions, Birthday Parties, Anniversary Celebrations, Wedding Vow Renewals or Engagement Parties are all events that would be suitable to host at the cottages. There is the luxury accommodation on site, that sleeps up to 16, for friends and family that are travelling to the area. Both properties would need to be booked as part of the event hire and then there wouldn't be any noise restrictions.
Below we are going to list some of the suppliers we would recommend;
Village Farm Marquees -
they not only can provide the marquee, but tables, chairs, heaters, fairy lights, etc!
Please note that we would only allow events requiring a marquee to be installed on the lawn in the summer months (May, June, July, August, September), if outside of these months then a 9m x 9m marquee would be more suitably located on the patio to the rear of the property. The structure would also need to be taken down and all furniture etc collected by the end of your stay.

byMolly - Catering, what is great about Molly and her team is that her service can provide what you need in such a range of forms; whether you are looking for a three course sit down meal, a finger buffet, a BBQ, pie and peas for 110 guests (as pictured below) - you name it and Molly will do her best to deliver!

Toodoloo - Luxury Mobile Toilets, if you decided to go with this option, there would be a slight reduction allowed for in the quote for reduction of ware and tare, instead of guests using the toilets in the cottages.

Chin Chin Mobile Cocktail Bar - Mobile Events Bar, specialising in cocktails!

Field Flowers - Flowers for all occasions, room and table decorations and structures available for hire.

Beverley Events Company - all different types of balloon arrangements, illuminated number and letter and backdrop hire, phone box guest book, mini yurts, soft play, signs, the list goes on!
Great Newsome Brewery - Cask and Bottled beers, plus pump hire and delivery!
With all of the suppliers we have suggested, they may not be what you are looking, they may be over budget or they may not be available for your chosen date so we will do our best to recommend an alterative for you.
If all of the above sounds a bit overwhelming, we do provide an event management service in house provided by Sarah, she has experience hosting large events having been heavily involved with young farmers and she hosted the party for 100+ guests in March at the cottages, of which there were numerous good reports!
We don't hold an events license so if you were wanting to provide a bar where money would be exchanged, this would need to be applied for through the government website, it is called a Temporary Events License. Proof of this would need to be sent to Sarah before the event commences. With all of the third party suppliers, we would need to see a copy of their Public Liability Insurance certificate.

We also don't hold a marriage ceremony license, we decided that this would take away from the privacy of what we are providing currently. We have an upcoming booking for a couple who are going to have their whole wedding; ceremony and reception at the cottages but there won't be any legality to the ceremony and they are going to go to a registry office for this part. The most local to us is in Beverley.
Please get in touch for any more information. As you can imagine, every event will be different and mainly depending on the time of year and duration of stay, the price will differ. Therefore once we have all of the information required, we will be able to create a bespoke quote for your event.
