At Pasture House Holiday Cottages, we know how important your holiday is to you, and understand you have a lot of boxes to tick. The Stables once housed our farmstead’s working horses, and has been beautifully renovated into a two-bedroom cottage, creating an idyllic hideaway that you can book by itself or together with Pasture House. Blending characterful touches of the original 19th-century stable building with a thoroughly modern restoration and painstaking attention to detail, this single-level detached cottage is beautifully appointed with top spec fixtures and fittings throughout.

The L-shaped entrance is furnished with a console table and coat hooks (and of course your welcome pack!), and leads to the two bedrooms and the open-plan living area – this light-filled, high-ceilinged space used to be the main stable and still retains its original wooden beams.
Living Areas
Here you’ll find a well-equipped kitchen with hand-made units, built-in appliances, and an attractive island.
The dining table is positioned to take full advantage of the views through a full-height glass panel overlooking the garden and fields beyond, and patio doors lead out into your private, enclosed garden.
A bar dresser has been purpose built, with its own fridge and freezer, and you can relax on two Chesterfield sofas while keeping toasty thanks to the wood-burning stove or watching the large smart TV.
Clydesdale Bedroom
A super ground floor room with charming features including a freestanding bath in the spacious en suite as well as a separate shower and double basins; a wall featuring open brickwork from the original stable building; and a hand-made built-in wardrobe just outside the bedroom. The superking bed can be turned into twin beds if you prefer. Underfloor heating and rugs keep the tiled wood-effect floor cosy in the cooler months, and remote-operated blackout blinds on the Velux windows will ensure you enjoy a sound night’s sleep.
Suffolk Punch Bedroom
A ground floor room with a double sink vanity unit, en suite with shower, and lovely light grey colour palette. A dressing table and wardrobe offer plenty of space for all your things, and the superking bed can be turned into twin beds if you prefer. As with Clydesdale, underfloor heating and rugs keep things cosy, and the Velux windows have remote-operated blackout blinds.
Outdoors
With The Stables’ super large enclosed garden, you’ll be able to enjoy being outdoors day or night, at any time of year. There’s a big grassed area, outdoor furniture, a paved patio, a charcoal barbecue, a wood-fired pizza oven, and of course, your four-person hot tub. There’s also plenty of parking space outside the cottage.

This project has delivered two five star luxury holiday homes with the highest level gold award. It has enabled the replacement of a derelict farmhouse with Pasture House - a three storey, six bedroom main house, all en-suite and further enabled the renovation of The Stables which is a single storey two bedroom, again both are en-suite. Both properties have green credentials, disabled access and provide numerous part time roles as well as bringing tourists into the local area throughout the year.
